The training for winter sport commences on Wednesday 3rd of May, at 8am. The winter carnival is focused on Year 5 & 6 Students, however, with our smaller class size, this year we can invite Year 4 students to attend. All Year 4-6 students are highly encouraged to attend training. Year 3 students are welcome to attend these training, it is a great way to gain knowledge and experience in the particular sport, all while learning new skills in preparation for their coming winter carnival.
By attending regular training HPS, students will create greater camaraderie, improved communication and have a higher level of energy, creating a high level of motivation towards the carnival day. Students are to attend training for only one sport for this carnival, this term.
Please note the winter carnival is now confirmed to be on week 9 Friday 23rd of June 2023.
Training will be held from week 2 through to week 9 (week 6 no training).
Please arrive to school in uniform and meet at one of these locations on Wednesday morning:
Soccer: Oval near soccer goals.
A.F.L: Cricket Pitch on oval.
Netball: Netball courts in the middle court.
If there is rain on the morning, students are to meet in the undercover area where we will break into our sport teams and discuss strategic play and focus on team building exercises.
Thank you to the wonderful parents who have volunteered their time to assist in the coaching of these sports. We are currently seeking one more person to assist our soccer coach with training. Please contact me on yasmin.reading@education.wa.edu.au to express your interest.
If you would like to assist with any other trainings, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
