Year One Brownes Dairy Excursion

In Week 3 all Year One students had the opportunity to visit Brownes Dairy as part of their Technolgies program. On arrival students were shown the machines that milk the cows and learned that a cow can produce 25 litres of milk per day. We also discovered that a calf only needs 7 litres, and the surplus milk is then processed. Students were given the opportunity to taste different yogurts and had to guess which flavour. At the end of the excursion students met Belinda the cow. Each student had the opportunity to pat her and even try milking her.
