Reconciliation Plan
Hilton Primary School is working with our staff and community, such as our Aboriginal Families Group, to develop a Reconciliation Plan. We are committed to ensuring all of our students are provided with high quality school education. We strive to enable our Aboriginal students to be confident and successful learners who graduate from HPS with a positive learning experience that will drive them to access further education, training and employment in the future.
Our programs integrate aspects of Aboriginal history, heritage and cultures to enable all staff and students to appreciate and respect the unique culture of this land on which the school is located, the Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar. Some examples of this include acknowledgement of country, development of our yarning circle, establishment of and consultation with the Aboriginal Families Group and cultural incursions/excursions.
