Our Hilton Primary School Cross Country Event for 2021 was held on Monday 2nd August. As well as some fantastic running and improved endurance after training, we were able to celebrate the resilience and sporting spirit of our children during the cross-country events. Many people noticed that some of our fastest runners returned to the track to support class and team members who had not yet finished. What a wonderful display of Courtesy, Consideration and Cooperation. Both Blue and Red Factions worked hard to win lots of points for their teams. Every student who completed their course, added to the team totals. These points will all count towards the rest of the Faction Carnival on 17th September 2021. Red and blue are quite close at this stage.
We welcomed our Kindy Blue, Green and Yellow students as well as Pre-Primary to Year 6 runners. Thank you to Mrs Yasmin Reading and Mr Daren Yhap for their wonderful organisation. Thanks to all of our parent and carer volunteers. We cannot complete these events without you and your children love to see you during the day.
Then it was time for our Inter-school Cross country event, which was on Thursday 5th August. Congratulations to every Hilton PS student who represented our school. We placed third in the small school’s category and sixth overall. Every Hilton PS student showed a high level of expected behaviours at this event. Thanks again to Mr Daren Yhap and Ms Alana Nicolle who accompanied our runners. Family support was also greatly appreciated.
