Week 8 updates
Dear Hilton Families,
Some updates for this week:
1. We enjoyed our Library information session with John and Stig from Fremantle Library yesterday. Did you hear about Borrow Box for audio books, free with Library membership.
2. Winter sports training resumes at 8am on Wed 14th June 2023 for AFL, Soccer and Netball.Thanks to Miss Jessica Parsons for coordinating the sessions and to staff/parent volunteers for assisting.We respectfully remind you that we encourage touch AFL, as a non-tackling sport, at Hilton PS. At 8am Friday 16th June, Run Club will resume.
3. Wed 14th June is our school Open Day with Tours running at 9am, 11.40am and 1.15pm.Please encourage friends and relatives to phone 6458 7900 to book in to a Tour.Thanks to our lovely P & C helpers for assisting with tea/coffee.
4. At 7am on Wed 14th June, we will receive $5000 from Coles Hilton, for the establishment of a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Gardn Project at Hilton PS.We look forward to tasting produce from our new gardens soon. This is a ‘paddock to plate’ initiative.Over time, all classes will have the opportunity to be involved.
5. Hilton P & C are now taking orders for Hilton Hoodies. Please call into the front office to place your order (in child or adult sizes) before the end of term!A friendly reminder that the Hilton Hoodies celebrate our Hilton community. They are not part of our Hilton PS uniform 🙂
6. The Indigenous Voice to Parliament session at Fremantle Arts Center on 13th June was well attended online, and in person, by Hilton PS staff and families. Thank you for your engagement in this historic conversation.
7. Room 8 will present their Assembly for our delight on Friday 16th June at 8.55am. All welcome!
